How do I know if I’m eligible for a loan?

What if my source of income is from unemployment insurance, my pension or another type of social assistance program?

That’s fine with us in most cases. For example if you’re receiving income from a pension plan that is more than $1200 dollars per month, you’re eligible for our loan services. Unfortunately we are unable to provide loan services to Canadian citizens who are on certain types of social assistance like welfare. What if I’m self-employed?

That’s fine too, but we want to make sure that you receive a stable income by assessing direct deposits in your account.

What if my loan was refused?

An application for a loan can be denied for a few different reasons or a combination of these reasons. For example if you do not meet the eligibility criteria listed above (employed for a minimum of 3 months, not in process of bankruptcy etc.) your loan application could be denied. Other reasons for refusal could be that you didn’t properly fill out your paperwork, that you have more than a couple loans at one time, that you have incurred more than 4 NSF charges recently or that you have registered voluntary deposits. How does a Paperless Loan Work?

How do I fax my paperwork?

Fax machines aren’t as common as they used to be, so if you don’t have access to one in your home or office don’t worry there are a number of places you can find one. Typically the local office supply store like Staples has a fax machine service open to the public. Similarly local post offices, pharmacies and convenient stores in your area may also offer fax services to the public.

What happens if I can’t pay for the loan I borrowed?

We can help to defer your payment schedule if you notify us of your situation at least 3 business days before your payment is due. However we can only make these types of arrangements if you have already completed three loan repayments with us. That means you cannot take a loan and then immediately request to modify your payment schedule, you can only do so after three repayments have been made. It is in your best interest to repay your loan on time. If you cannot repay the loan on time it’s best to notify our team as soon as possible to avoid incurring over $100 in fees from insufficient funds charges on your account.

What should I do with my personal information that I passed along?

During your credit application, you may have given confidential information to the agent to assist you in retrieving your statements that are required for the analysis of your application. If you have submitted your bank access card number, your user code or your password to access your online account, you must change it immediately. And, in doing business with us, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to ensure the confidentiality and protection of your banking information.

    You have until Wednesday, December 19, 2019 before 3 pm to make a payment deferral
  • Monday, December 30 2019 and Friday, January 3 2020
    You have until Wednesday December 26, 2019 before 3 pm to make a payment deferral

How do I know my application is completed?

There are 3 things that need to happen in order for your application to be completed :
1. Your personal references have to be verified
2. Your employment has to be verified
3. All the documents needed have to be in our file.
